Cookie Policy

The short version: one visitor counter uses cookies, you can say no, and your files are never part of it.

1. What this page covers

This page lists the cookies and similar storage that ArwaPDF uses on your device, what each one is for, how long it lasts and how to turn it off. The tools themselves do not need cookies: your files are processed in your browser and are never uploaded, whatever you choose here. Read the Privacy Policy for everything else about your data.

2. Settings kept on your device

These are small values in your browser’s storage (not cookies). They are never sent to us or to anyone else, and the site works without them.

3. Visitor counting

Vercel Web Analytics (no cookies)

Our hosting provider, Vercel, counts page visits without cookies. It records the page address (without anything after a “?” or “#”), the website you came from, your browser, operating system, device type and country.

Google Analytics 4 (uses cookies)

We use Google Analytics, a service of Google, to see how many people use the site, which pages and tools are popular and roughly where visitors come from. It is set up to send page visits only:

  • It receives the page address (without anything after a “?” or “#”), the page title, your browser, device and screen size, your language and your approximate location. Google uses your IP address to work out the country and city and says it does not store the IP address itself.
  • It never receives your files, file names, page contents, passwords or the settings you choose in a tool.
  • Google signals and advertising personalisation are switched off, and we do not use Google or any other advertising service.
CookieWhat it doesHow long
_gaA random number that lets Google Analytics tell visitors apart.2 years
_ga_<ID>Keeps track of your current visit (session) for Google Analytics.2 years

Google processes this data under its own terms. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services and the Google Business Data Responsibility page.

4. Your choice

  • In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google Analytics does not load until you press “Accept”. Your browser decides this from your device’s time zone, and Google also checks your country and does not set its cookies there without your consent.
  • Everywhere else, Google Analytics loads when you open a page. You can turn it off at any time with the button below.

If you refuse, Google Analytics stops and its cookies are removed from this site. Every tool works exactly the same either way. You can also install Google’s opt-out browser add-on, or block and delete cookies in your browser’s settings.

5. Changes

If we add another service that uses cookies, we will update this page first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent. The date at the top shows the latest version.
