How to Sign a PDF on Your Phone, Free
Last updated: 1 November 2026
Rent agreements, offer letters, school forms and declarations often need your signature. Printing, signing and scanning takes time and needs a printer. You can sign the PDF on your phone in about a minute instead.
Sign a PDF, step by step
- Open Sign PDF and choose the PDF.
- Make your signature: draw it with your finger, type your name, or upload a photo of your signature.
- Tap the page where it should go, drag it into place and set the size.
- Tap Save signed PDF and download it.
Use your real signature
For a signature that looks like your pen signature, sign in black or blue ink on plain white paper, take a clear photo in good light and upload it. The white paper is removed, so only the ink lands on the PDF.
Is this a legal signature?
This places a picture of your signature, the same as signing a printout by hand. Many offices and companies accept it. Some official filings need a certificate-based digital signature (DSC) or Aadhaar eSign instead, so check what the receiver asks for.
Your file stays private
The PDF and your signature never leave your phone. If the signed document is sensitive, add a password before you send it.
